Can I bring my newborn (or kids)?
Unfortunately, we have attempted this in the past and have this policy in place because of multiple circumstances. Our Thrive retreats are a once-in-a-career opportunity and past attendees in your situation have realized that they wished they would have waited to attend without the distractions of a newborn to receive the full benefit.
Even more so, we have found that having a newborn present can be really difficult for the other attendees. Miscarriage is highly prevalent on the field due to lack of quality medical care/interventions and high levels of stress. It can be really difficult for other women to come to a place where they are told they can let their guard down, be comfortable and soak in their heavenly Father and then be faced with such a real reminder of their hurt and loss. I hope you understand our need to be sensitive to this and our strong prayer that you will be able to join us at a future retreat when your sweet little one is a bit older and can be without you for a few days.
